Welcome to the Secret Squirrel Speed Werkz division of Yellow Dog Racing.

Specializing in the design and fabrication of small desert racing vehicles, modificatoin of a Pilot, tinkering with XR-50's, Z-50's and general insanity.

The latest work in progress is the new stadium lite, no name as of yet. This car will be the next generation of the Moskito.
Lighter, Longer, Faster, More Travel, More Interior Room - just a new and better ride.

I'll be posting all my steps as the car comes to life right here in these pages as I get them done, just like I have during my last few projects. The layout of this page will change as I get farther into the project.

Here's the basic layout so far:

Chassis:
4130 Chromoly & 1018 Mild Steel. Main frame and all stress points out of chromoly. Bracing, low stress areas mild
66 to 68" wide
72 to 74" wheel base
Height, Length - unknown
18" Front, 17" Rear suspension travel
12x6 front, 12x8 rear rims on 156mm center with bead locks and reinforcing rings
Rack & Pinion steering
Beard Seat
Team Tech 6-Point Harness
Honda 400 EX front disc brakes & calipers, Willwood rear disc & Caliper with F/R bias bar
CNC Pedals and master cylinders
Either Fox Air Shox or King coil overs

Drive Train:
Engine - 1998 Arctic Cat ZR600 EFI LE. 110 hp in stock form - right now...
Clutches - Arctic Cat Drive and Driven. Will upgrade driven with Aaen Performance's hardened rollers and helix kit
Transmission - RPM Special. Quick Change gear ratios - 10:1 & 9:1. Inboard CV joints, Billet Case
Type II or Type IV CV joints with 300M axles

Electrical System:
Gauges - Tach, H20 temp, EGT - probably an Avenger unit
Fuel gauge?
Head, tail, brake lights
Electric starting

Preliminary Front Hub and rotor fitment.

To get my front end suspension designed, I have to have the front hubs and spindles done. So far, I have a prototype hub (pic above) that allowed me to get rotor and caliper placement dialed in and now I have the first attempt of a hub on the CNC machine. Notice that I haven't done the bearing and seal cuts yet? Need to go get them first...
