This page is dedicated to getting everyone together, sharing pictures, stories and helping people get in touch with long lost friends. So feel free to make suggestions, comments, what ever you please.
To locate a yearbook picture of someone, click on the letter below that corresponds with the last name. This will take you to a listing of everyone in our graduating class. Then, just click on that person's name.

Please send me a recent picture (click here to send pictures) and I'll put it next to your post. I'll try to go back through the yearbook and find pictures of everyone as they sign the book and then put the picture next to the comment. It would be fun to do "back then" and "now", don't ya think? (Lisa Fatheree gets the best "now" picture so far!)
To get a better view of any picture, just click on it!
Hello Fellow Classmates! I'm the web master of this place so if you have any suggestions, questions or comments, please feel free to contact me or Betsy Beck (click on name).
Also, don't forget to check out McHi's Class of 1983 web page.
You may just run across some other long lost friends there too.
Thanks!! - Richard Kosar
The reunion was a BLAST!!! Here's a link to pictures taken during the night:

This really brought back a lot of memories! After I left Memorial, I went to Pan Am for a couple of semesters and decided that working paid more so I went to work for a travel agency in McAllen. I have been working in the travel industry in one way or another ever since and have been working for American Express for 10 years. I met and married Mark Thornbrough (McHi Graduate 1984) and we have been married for 15 years. In 1989 we moved to Houston and have 2 sons, Jacob-12 & Tyler-6.

Wonderful time spent on setting this site up. How really great it was to read all the messages, comments, and history. It has been a short 20 years, hard as that is to explain. I'm married and have 2 boys AJ and Alec 5 and 3. Hello to everyone out there

Outstanding work by Richard and Betsy, I am really looking forward to our 20 y reunion....our 10th was okay but it could have been much better. We have a great class so I am sure this reunion will be awesome!! I've been back in McAllen since graduating from The Univ of Texas Medical School in San Antonio. I have my private practice but mostly work as Clinical Instructor for the Family Practice Residency Program. I love my work...it's pretty exciting most of the time. I've been married 6 years to Melissa (formerly Esquivel) who is from Corpus Christi. We met in San Antonio while we were in school and dated 5 years before we "tied the knot." No children yet ..... we like to travel alot! We will be trying to start a family soon (after we return from China) so we may be pregnant at our reunion. It's great to touch base with everybody. Again, great work on this web site...really cool!!!

May 31, 2001 Oh my gosh........what a neat stroll down memory lane!! I definitely need to add to my entry. Reading everyone's chronicles took me back 20 years in time. Many THANKS to Richard for developing and maintaing this site and to Betsy for heading the reunion. In 1987 I graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing. I was hired by Sears and Roebuck to be their Training Mgr. for 1 of their 10 Call Centers (Catalog Division). Two years later I was promoted and transferred to Chicago to become their Training Director for all 10 Centers through out the country. In 1991 I was promoted and transferred again this time to Provo Utah to manage 1 of their 1500 employee Call Centers. In 1993 I married the man of my dreams, (Douglas Dahlbeck from Omaha Nebraska) we met in College and dated for 7 years while I was working on my career and he was finishing Grad. school. In 1996 I was recruited by Dean Witter to be their Policy and Procedures manager for their newly launched MasterCard in Salt Lake City. In 1999 my husband was promoted and transferred to San Antonio. At that time, I decided to leave Corporate America and take the most important, challenging and rewarding job I've ever had. I became a stay at home mom!! We have 2 wonderful kids...Matthew Eric 4 1/2 years old and Lauren Marie 21 months old who keep me very busy. I sometimes get asked "Do you miss your Corporate life?" Not at all....the work I did for those Companies will last several years but the work I'm doing now will last a life time. So, we are now back in Texas in San Antonio. It's nice to be back with family. I have ran into a couple of familiar faces....Sandy Barrera who lives here in S.A. with her husband and 2 cute kids. Leo Gomez who I ran into at the Spurs Black Tie Gala early this year. He is the Vice President for the Spurs Public Relations Division. Janet Useda's little sister who says Janet is living outside Dallas and has 3 children with her husband Allen Stroud. Sylvia Cavazos in McAllen who is still as crazy and fun loving as ever. Thanks for reading my past 20 years accomplishments, please E-mail me to say "HI."

It was great to see so many pictures of distant memories. I do not remember not taking my picture:-/ As far as where I have been, well, I left a couple of days after graduation and am still moving. From the Far East, to visiting about 38 of our fifty states including Hawaii, to now being in Europe....most recently a trip to Paris, France. It does not seem like we are coming up on 20 years. For certain, it has been the best of times and the worst of times; from helping with the stabalization of Bosnia to the current state of alert, meeting and seeing so many things.....both beautiful and ugly. I hope to make it back to the 20th reunion.

Hi there!
Monico Aquiles Trevino
USA
My life took such a different course from what I thought I was going to do. But I don't regret it. I didn't become an architect, but I have designed many homes and have never completely removed myself from the medium. I took on, instead, the world of retail sales: OAKTREE,IKEA,GAP,BARNES & NOBLE and SUR LA TABLE and I haven't stopped since! I tried to stay in school after I lost my father in 1985, but I needed to try something more. After 4 and a half years at both UT-Pan American and Texas Tech University in the late eighties, I decided to go to work full-time. Over some of the years, I have seen some of you and I'd like to say "Hello" and to thank you for not forgetting you knew me. My best friend, Jeff Marquis and I still keep in touch and he is the one who told me about the website. Thanks very much Richard and Betsy for bringing us all together again.

What a blessing to hear from old friends again. At the 10th year reunion I had my two year old son Chase and expecting my second son Chad. Chase is now nine and Chad is eight. Jeff and I have been married ten years. As far as school and career it has been a path of change change change. I graduated from St. Edwards with a BA in English and minor in Computer Science. I did decide to attend Grad school and received a Masters in Software Engineering from the University of Houston Clear Lake. I worked at IBM for seven years and at Dell for three years. However, the demands of a Program Manager in the corporate world became more than I and my family could handle. I decided to retire the corporate world and took the calling of a teacher at Hill Country Christian School. I teach Spanish and Latin to children from Kinder through sixth grade. I reach three hundred children with the gospel every week. My boys also attend HCCSA. They enjoy the school and love to get hugs and kisses from Mom while they are in school in addition to the ones they get after school!!! Jeff is currently working for Broadwing Communications. He received his BBA from UT. Thank you for this website! I am enjoying reading everyone's updates and salutations. God Bless you all. In Christ, Endrica Widener

I have been working as an art teacher for the last eight years. I have spent the last five as an elementary art teacher. I recently started working in the Plano ISD. My wife and I now reside in our home in Plano.

Wow, I feel like I just walked across the graduation stage at that other high schools football field. Just like that 20 years has past. For those of you who don't remember me, I was the occasionally quiet guy that was in choir and J. V. tennis. I still sing regularly in church, but I enjoy racquetball much more than tennis(sorry Shane). Somewhere along the way on my quest for a Ph.D. in knowledge I ended up with a BSN in nursing. I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world. Michelle is currently a stay at home mom with a law degree. We have been married for 11 years. We have a beautiful 4 year old little girl and a baby in the oven (due Nov 3, 01). Ran across Jan one day in the hospital in Amarillo. I knew she looked familiar, but I couldn't place her right away. She still looks alot like she did in high school. There are so many of you I like to talk to. The Guerra sisters: my parents still live around the corner from your old house. To my fellow choir members: I hope there is still a song in your heart. So many others... Thanks to Betsy, Richard, and the others who are responsible for this page. I'm looking forward to the reunion. There never was, there will never be, another class like '83.

Ok, I didn't graduate with you guys, I went to McHi, but I know so many of your faces as I surfed this website. I was flooded with so many lost memories, and lost friendships. See, I was part of you guys at one time, like all the other '83 seniors from McHi. We all were the last group of 9th graders at Brown, before we all got split up! Yeah, we became cross-town rivals, and lost touch, but we were one at one time weren't we?! Anyway, congrats on an awesome yearbook web site. Wish we had one like this at McHi, to catch up with lost friends. I was the very skinny shy kid, who ran track, but came in last, played in the band, but quit cause I thought the clarinet was not manly, and blossomed my senior year in both track (district champ quarter mile), and Football, (I was the skinny kid who caught 3 touchdowns passes against you in our first ever varsity game). They were all called back, but I tackled Joe Abdela in the endzone for a safety, for the first ever points in our 18 year history. We won, 21-0. Great to see your faces again. Take care and God bless. What do I look like? You can go to mgarchitects.com to see who I am, or just look in our 9th grade Brown Doberman yearbook. Drop a note sometime.

Hello to everyone from Amarillo, Texas. I have been here for 18 months en route from my previous education travels across the south and midwest. I currently work as a rheumatologist in private practice but also do some lecturing and tutorials with the internal medicine and family practice residents from Texas Tech Medical school. My husband, Jeff, and I have been married 8 years and have 2 kids (Jonathan age5 and Annika age 3). I have run into Wade Mitchell here in Amarillo and he is working as an RN for one of the hospitals in the GI lab. Otherwise, I haven't seen or heard from anyone else. Hi to all of you out there! I have often wondered about so many of you. It's good to hear everybody is doing well. So am I. I am still in Mcallen. After graduation, I married Rick Bailey (one of our classmates). We have a 16 yr. old son, Austin. He is driving now, SCARY THOUGHT! He thinks he knows everything. He does not see a need for parents but he's stuck with us for now. I now see what I put my mother through! Rick & I divorced in 1987 but are still good friends. I remarried in 1988 (someone from McHi). We have twin daughters, Lori & Coral. They are 12 and enjoy jr.high. They are boy crazy! Wonder where they get that from? Their dad & I divorced in 1992. I remarried one more time to a much older man. He is 53 and really wonderful! We have been married for 8 yrs. and have a 3 yr. old daughter, Kennedy. Yes, that makes 4 kids in my house! I also teach pre-school at a private Methodist school. My husband has owned an auto repair shop for about 25 yrs. I stay very busy but will always make time for any of you. Can't wait until the reunion! see you there! Camille Schriner

After reading everyone's comments I wanted to add a littel bit. I have 3 children Cory 15 Ryan 11 and Amy 1. I live in Arizona and I love it. I work for a Chrysler dealership and I run their web page on the internet and do a lot of administrative assistant stuff for the manager. I have only been here for 1 year I stayed in McAllen after we graduated, so this is really different for me. No humidity here that is for sure!! It is fun to read what everyone is up to and how our lives have matured and changed. I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. Eddie Walsh will be missed but will be there in spirit I'm sure. I went to his funeral it was very sad. On a happier note lets have fun in 2003 !!!!!!! Kay

It is really great what Richard and Betsy have done here. I have enjoyed reading all the post of what has happened to us all over the years. I am not one most will remember, I moved to the valley in 1982 so I only had a year to get to know the class. Most who know or remember me as Mike Martins Cousin, he introduced me to most of you. I was also somewhat quiet then..."THEN" not now. After high school I stayed in McAllen for about a year attending Pan American the transfered to SWTSU which I attended for 2 years then moved to Austin to Finish at UT.
I moved to Dallas in 1988 and worked as the Personal Director at Foleys department stores for 6 1/2 years. In 1995 I went to work for Bank One as a escrow assistant.
In 1996 I moved back to the valley and Married a Local Boy (and a boy he was) Divorced in 1999. I have a great 4 1/2 year old son Patrick Conner which is my world. As you can Tell I've moved around alot but have learned and enjoyed every minute. I now work for a Title Company in Edinburg as an Escrow Officer. Thank you Richard and Betsy for this great site. Where we can keep up with all of our classmates. Please Write, Send messages, let me know whats up. Julie

Hey everyone!! I'm so glad we have found each other. It really does not seem like 20 years since graduation. I for
one feel much younger than that. Like 34 or so. Someone was
looking for Shirley Maldonado and Iris Gonzalez. I believe
Shirley is working with her parents and their business so I'll give her a call. As for Iris, a good friend of mine
knows her so I'll ask her to have her call me.
As for me, after high school graduation (about 1 week after)
I started summer school at Pan Am and did 3 years of
undergraduate pre-pharmacy classes. In 1985, I transferred
to The University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 1988.
After much study and prayer, I passed the 2-day state board
exam on the first try and have been practicing every since.
I love it and can't think of anything else I'd like to do. As a matter of fact, I met my husband, Santiago, while at
work one weekend. He was working with SmithKline Pharmaceuticals and doing some calls one Saturday. I was at
as Heb pharmacy and that was his last stop for the day.
Twenty-eight days later he proposed and 3 months after we met, we were married. That was almost 9 years ago.In 1994, he decided he also wanted to be a pharmacist so we moved to
Austin and were there for 3 years. We would come about 2 times a month to Mcallen to check on our dogs (my parents
were dogsitting) and our house. We kept it while we were
away so at least had a place to stay on our trips home.
Yes, we thought of staying in beautiful Austin but decided
it was way too hectic for what we were used to. Oh, by the way, Carlos Gonzalez is in Austin. Freddy Lopez is a doctor
at the UT Residency clinic in Mcallen and Rene Vela is also
a doctor in Alamo. I will pass on the info if I can get a
hold of them. If anything else comes up, let me know. I am very much looking forward to the reunion.Hope to hear from
you all soon. Anadelia

It's so cool to see what everybody is doing these days! Way to go Richard and Betsy! I'm living in Austin with my wife, Lori, and our two children (Taylor is 9, Hunter is 7). I met Lori on the tennis courts at Abilene Christian University and we both still play regularly. I worked for several companies right out of college (American Airlines, Digital, a small software company, etc) and then went to work for Microsoft for almost 10 years. These days I'm working for the Harvest League Foundation, a non-profit that assists low income, single parent families in crisis. Check out our new web site (under construction as of 1/23) www.harvestleaguefoundation.org
By the way, Mike Martin and Anna Martin (Conine) just had a baby! The baby (Natalie) is beautiful, obviously getting her looks from Anna's side of the mix. Congratulations Mike and Anna!!!
Looking forward to seeing everyone...

Hi! My husband told me to check out a web site called Classmates (I think!), so I did, registered with it, and now I find myself strolling down memory lane. I went to SWTSU, where I met Andy. He graduated from college before i could have, so I ditched school and married him. We've been all over the place--California, Guam, back to Texas, Ohio, Louisiana, and now Utah. We'll spend a few years here, and then...who knows?!? In between the moves, we had three children. I finally finished college, but haven't really worked outside of the home. I stay home with my three little ones, Eric 10, Becca 7, Tricia 5. I still play the flute, as often as possible. I did go to McAllen this past summer and saw Anadelia Garcia and a friend from the other high school. I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!

12/19/00 After reading some of the other guest book entries, I decided to add some specifics to my entry. After graduating MMHS, I attended PanAm for several years, then transferred to UTSA. I graduated in 1988 (biology/marketing) and moved to Waco TX to work for Merck, as a pharmaceutical representative. I lived there for 3.5 yrs, and then moved to Nashville, TN. I lived there for 7 years. Went to work for Glaxo for a total of 8 years in the medical industry and left it all to start my own company. I moved to the St Louis area with my husband in '99.
I have not had children YET, but plan to in a few years (I do have two step-sons, 15yrs & 17 yrs). I know, I will be near 40 by then, but that is just how things worked out.
I have been very career minded up until now. My passions are my family, work, church, as well as exercise and fitness. When I am not busy at work, still self-employed by the way, I spend time with my mother, who lives with me, date my husband, Mark, who travels way too much, play with my cocker spaniels, (two of them) and I am active in my church (drama).
Please forgive me, I am embarrassed to say that I have not kept in touch with anyone from McAllen. I hope to do so now, with email that should be fun and really exciting.
Let's see, right off the top, does anyone know where the following people are... Rick Alvarado, Danny Beaupre, David "Ducky" Logan, Raymond Garcia, Dina Hernandez, Shirley Maldonado, and Iris Gonzalez... that's all I can think of. I need to dig my yearbook out of the basement and look at it.
Well, I sure do hope to hear from some of you.

Hello, everyone. Just signing in. Where to start:
went to undergrad school at UT Austin, got my MA, worked on
a Phd, taught at Ohio State University for a while, didn't
especially like it, left that, moved to Minneapolis, worked in
development and marketing at Walker Art Center and other arts organizations
for a few years, now working as a business consultant for
a local firm and I consult for philanthropic foundations and
arts nonprofits locally and nationally. Got married
three years ago to Jennifer Komar, a museum curator. No
kids yet. Happy to see everyone's pictures and comments.
If any of you want to experience REAL cold weather, give
me a buzz--We have an ice skating rink ten steps from my

Hola Que Tal Amigos!
I tried to get out of town, I even married a guy from out of town. But he brought me back....Oh well. I have been married for twelve years to a wonderful multi-talented Criminal Defense Lawyer/Song Writer/Screen Play Writer and Novelist. We have three very handsome boys Jordan 10, Andrew 8, and Cameron 14 months. For the last seven years I ran my husband's Law Office, until recently, when we had to close up shop. I wasn't feeling well and couldn't keep up, and as it turned out I had a rather large brain tumor which I had successfully removed last May.
I hear about many of you out there, and I regularly see and visit with Lorraine Gonzalez, Danny Alamia, and Letty Gracia. I would like you all to take a moment to remember Eddie Walsh who passed away a little over a year ago of cancer. Bobby Garcia recently announced he's running for mayor in McAllen! Murray Moore is now a District Judge! Art Cisneros is an attorney and practicing with his father and brother, Becky Martinez is a Probation Officer although I think she relocated from McAllen, I'm not sure. Dee Dee Garza, a CPA is in North Carolina, Sofia Garza is a teacher and last I knew was in McAllen. Between Lorraine and I we can probably locate about a hundred people. So count me in! I've chaired some pretty big shin-digs in my time, so give me a buzz if you need any help. Oh yea, I have a rather large scrap book with many pictures not found in the yearbook, (football, swimming, senior float, etc.) Hope to hear from ya'll real soon.

I lost my yearbook in a move about 15 years ago. I really take my hat off to Betsy and Richard. It was refreshing to see that I didn't end up looking like my graduation picture......or did I? I look forward to hearing from anyone who wants to talk about old times..or new times. (except the big kid who used to beat me up by the bathroom), just kidding....you can call me too. (Hey, Mitch Devine used to bully you too? - editor)

Hola Memorialites,
I hope each and everyone one of you are doing fine. I guess I should tell you all what is going on with me. I have been a US Marine since we graduated from Memorial. Three years for retirement! I am divorced, single dad (Michelle is 11), marathon runner, softball player, Mr MoM, Marine, and a SUPER busy guy.
I don't know if I will be able to make the reunion, for I don't know what the Marine Corps has in store for me during that exact time. I do, however, hope to be free so that I may attend the event and meet you all AGAIN!!!
Betsy......thank you for all of this.

Mustangs,
How are you? In recent weeks, I have learned lots about the whereabouts of many of you. I am glad to see how many of you have found success.
I am still a Marine and have been since we graduated from Memorial. 3 more years for retirement! I can't tell you how many times I wondered if I took the right path, but it all goes away when I evaluate all that I do and what it all means.
I am a singel parent now. Michelle is 11 and is 100 times brighter than her dad was at her age.
I hope to someday catch up with some of you and relive old memories.
Fellow Mustang forever......Mario A. Lozoya

I guess I should have put more in when I first started up this page, so here's what's been up with me for the past 17 (ouch) years;
I bounced around Texas after graduation - lived in College Station for a year. A first year .8 gpa kinda decided my schooling's direction. After all, motocross racing was SO much more fun! I moved back to the Valley and set up on South Padre. I played there for about two years and finally moved to S.A. to take another stab at school - It went better, but just didn't have the heart for it (I finally got my degree in Mechanical Engineering in the early 90's with a 3.65 gpa. See? I can do it!). I ended up working with a motorcycle racing team (gee, there's a surprise!) based in S.A. and traveled all over the country for two years. Even made it to Australia in '86.
I now live in the Cincinnati area, missing Mexican food terribly.
I was married to a beautiful woman for thirteen years and we remain fast friends, raising our two beautiful daughters, 9 & 7. Truly the lights of my life.
I'm still enjoying life and playing as hard as ever. Racing is still a blast and a large part of my life, but the days afterwards...ouch. Sometimes, getting older stinks. Oh Well!!!! (:
